Barbecued Franks
1/2 med. onion, chopped fine
1-2 Tablespoons sugar
1/4 to 1/2 cup ketchup (for thickness you desire)
1/4 cup water
1/8 cup vinegar
1/2 teaspoon mustard
4 hot dogs (thawed)
Brown onions lightly in oil. Add all other sauce ingredients and simmer 15 minutes.
Split the hot dogs and place in shallow baking dish. Pour sauce over and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
Serve on rolls or cut up and serve over rice. Do the cutting for the rice version before adding the sauce.
